Gaetz’s ex-girlfriend testifies before grand jury in sex trafficking investigation

A former partner of Florida Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz testified before a federal grand jury investigating him for sex trafficking, after months of negotiating a possible immunity deal with prosecutors.

Gaetzs exgirlfriend, whose name has not been released, testified for about 30 minutes on Thursday, according to Politico.

She was reportedly one of several women named in a sealed indictment connected to Gaetz and his alleged sex trafficking.

She has previously denied Gaetz was involved in any sex crimes. Gaetzs exgirlfriend was reportedly named in a civil suit filed by a woman who accused Gaetz of sex trafficking and demanded she return money she allegedly took from sex workers.

The exgirlfriend was also reportedly behind the camera when a sex tape of Gaetz and his exgirlfriend was filmed.

Gaetz has denied any wrongdoing, and his exgirlfriend has claimed he was innocent. Gaetzs spokesman, Michael Conant, did not immediately return a request for comment.
