What happened to Bella Twins mom?
When their mom was diagnosed with a brain tumor, Nikki and Brie were weeks away from giving birth. This should have been a time of great joy for the family, but instead, they had to put their own lives on hold to care for their mother.
Nikki and Brie Bella’s mom, Kathy Colace went through brain surgery on June 30, 2020.
Doctors found a tumor on her brain stem but it was already incurable by then. The major surgery begun to prevent complications from the tumor, although there was a risk of death during or after the operation. Kathy is recovering well now but it took 5 days before she could safely move about unassisted again.
In 2009, the twins’ mom had a brain tumor. They were weeks away from giving birth. This should have been a time of great joy for the family. But this would be the start of a new journey for Nikki and Brie, who would soon start to step out of their sisterly roles, and instead become their mother’s caretaker.
