Jaclyn Gartner rescued Van Gogh after he was found cowering inside a drainage pipe. Van Gogh the dog’s first art show was a bust, but owner Kelly Gartner didn’t give up. She held an online auction of Van Gogh’s paintings to raise money for her animal rescue. Each painting sold for more than $1,000; almost everyone paid more than the asking price. Van Gogh was adopted on the last day of the auction by one of his foster home’s volunteers.
